Odu’a Investment Company Limited’s Group Managing Director/CEO, Mr Adewale Raji and some Management team members were on a courtesy visit to His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Friday, July 12, 2019 to felicitate with him on his new position and to update him on the activities of the Group.

The Odu’a GMD spoke on the Board and Management of the Group’s focus on leveraging the assets of our patrimony for accelerated socio-economic development of the South West as per the mandate of our shareholders.

According to him, the Growth Strategy of Odua Group is to use Strategic Partnerships to create new businesses that will not only fit into her Growth, Profitability & Sustainability objectives, but also create jobs, skills enhancement & capability empowerment for our teeming youth population. Agriculture & Agric-Business features high in this strategy. He explained the Tomato to Paste project at Imeko and the expanded scope to include Cassava cultivation and processing to High Quality Cassava Flour & Industrial Starch. It is along this line that the Group intends to transform her Agricultural farmlands at Ikere-Iseyin and Ogboro-Saki in Oyo State.

The Governor was also notified of our relaunch of Odua real estate business with the very successful Ace Estate, Jericho delivered in 2017 to change the face of contemporary residential estates in Ibadan. The upcoming 124 Households Westlink-Iconic Villa, Alakia by Nigeria Breweries was also brought to the attention of the Governor and that the foundation laying will take place within the next 3months once the Permits and Approvals are obtained.

Other items of update to the Governor is the admission of Lagos State in March 2018. The phased renovation of the Aje House to align with the Government’s initiatives of having a new outlook for the Central Business District (CBD)

In his remark, the Governor commended the Group for her renewed business growth strategy and assured Odu’a Management of government support in the actualization of its growth and development plans.

Present at the meeting were the Oyo State Chief of Staff, Chief Bisi Ilaka, the Head of Service, Alhaja Amidat Ololade Agboola and Special Adviser on Strategy and Political matters, Honourable Babs Oduyoye. The Odu’a team included Engr Olusoji Sangobiyi, Project Evaluation Manager and Mr Victor Ayetoro, Head Corporate Affairs..
