ODU’A – ABUAD Industrial Research And Development Centre Kicks Off
The moribund Odu’a Textile Mills Limited factory premises at Ado Ekiti which has been under-utilized since the collapse of the Textile Mills is now being put to productive use.

Odu’a Investment and Afe Babalola University’s Directorate of Technological Development, ABUAD, are collaborating to breathe life into the factory premises.

A Special Purpose Vehicle for Educational Centre has been established within the factory facility to provide technical and vocational skills training to help bridge the current skill-gap deficiency especially amongst the youth. The Centre will train and award ABUAD Senate certified diplomas in Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering after two-year studies.

A section of the factory is also being designed to establish an Industrial Park to accommodate different small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) and their associated value chains to improve the level of industrialization of the region.
