Odu’a Group Repositions For Higher Growth, Profitability And Sustainability
Odu’a Investment Company Limited is set to chart a new course to increase the company’s performance and profitability level. Towards this end, a three (3) day brain- storming Strategic Retreat was held for the Company’s Board of Directors, the Management Team and Chief Executive Officers of its subsidiary companies at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) Moniya, Ibadan recently.

Prominent speakers at the retreat facilitated by KPMG Advisory Services included Engr. Joseph Makoju, former Chief Executive Officer of Lafarge-Wapco and former Managing Director of Old National Electric Power Authority (NEPA), Professor Ademola Ariyo, Former Commissioner for Finance, old Oyo State and Chairman Board of Directors, University of Ibadan School of Business (UISB).

The retreat among other things helped articulate the building blocks for achieving a 5 – Year ambitious plan to Grow the Group’s Revenue by 250% between 2015 and 2019 with a baseline 15% Profit Before Tax (PBT). Towards achieving this, the Team is poised to lead with Purpose and Accountability with full engagement and inclusiveness of Stakeholders.

The Group resolved on an actionable Investment theme that clearly support the new Vision and Mission aimed at Re-vitalizing and Re-positioning the company for future challenges.

The new vision is:-
“To be the leading Nigerian Conglomerate in our chosen sectors, delivering above par performance in growth and profitability”

While the mission is:-
“To deliver maximum returns to our Stakeholders through qualitative and strategic management, towards enhancing the heritage of our founding fathers’.

Core to achieving these will be the active engagement of our People by emphasizing Professionalism and Best Practices as well as Retention and Attraction of Best in Class Talent.
The Chairman of Odu’a Group, Chief (Dr.) Isaac Akintade remarked that the event marks a ‘new dawn’ in the history of Odu’a and we are positioning to create an Enduring Value that will be the Pride of the South West.

The Group Managing Director of Odu’a Group, Mr. Adewale Raji described the retreat as a worth-while effort for both the Board and Management to agree on a common focus in moving the company forward and achieving a quantum leap with emphasis on Growth, Profitability and Sustainability.
